Miles Creevy
MATCH REPORT by Phil Stopford
Starting his first league game of the season Miles Creey was sensational, putting Wojak to the sword with four goals in the second half of a very much one sided match. Tony Collins was the first to find the net when he smashed the ball home after Chris Jarvis headed on from a deep cross. Collins then made it two-nil from the penalty spot after being felled on the outside of the box. It was 3-0 several minutes into the second half. With Wojak not touching the ball until the struggling keeper was picking the ball out of his net after a fluid team passing move with Sean Preston heading on for Miles Creevy to score his first of the game. Colling turned provider for Creevy's second of the half before being withdrawn having bagged two more goals for the Reds. The home side then received a jolt when Wojak broke from a corner and made the score 4-1, but any faint hopes of a fightback were quashed when Creevy added a fifth and his hat-trick after outpacing three defenders to slot home after a nice headed flick on from the Player/Manager Preston. Wojak continued to plug away and with Birkbeck taking their foot of the gas soon made it 5-2, The score line could of more in favour of the away team but for a stunning close range save from Birkbeck keeper Coercea keeping the score at 5-2. Birkbeck wrapped the game up with 5 minutes to go with Creevy breaking down the left side, finding Martin Hutchinson who lays off a superb ball back to Creevy who found the bottom corner for his fourth goal of the game. |
